If you are a curious novice and want to know about what is WordPress and how can you get started with it, WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 can be a very good opportunity for you to begin. The Beginner Lab will have professionals guiding you to take your very first step towards your WordPress journey.
What is Beginner Lab? Why should one attend this lab?
Beginner lab is a workshop where the attendees get introduced to WordPress and learn its basics. If you want to create websites quite easily without having to code then it is must to attend the lab. Moreover, the lab will include plugin and theme installation and customization.
Who are the suitable attendees for the session?
Beginner Lab is targeted mostly to the students and the beginners who are interested to learn WordPress and who have simple queries related to it. The lab has limited number of seats.
How to participate?
In order to participate, attendees should register their names for the session while registering for the event. Registration starts at 10am on the event day.
Prerequisites to attend the session
- Consider bringing your own laptops and charger.
- Download and install XAMPP/WAMP/MAMP or any local development server in your laptop. You can also download XAMPP from the link given below: https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/tutorials/installing-a-local-server/xampp/
- Attendees should install WordPress in their laptop. You can download WordPress from the link below: https://wordpress.org/download/
Event Schedule
The workshop will be conducted in a separate hall at 12:40pm-2:40pm. It will be led by Madan Panthi who is a project manager at Bharyang Ventures and also one of the organizers of WordCamp Kathmandu 2019.
